This program is designed to meet NYSED Health Education standards and address the seven foundation components of sexual health education. It covers human sexuality and sexual identity, and decision making and responsibility in the context of personal and family values and a student’s life goals. It includes lessons on healthy relationships, communication and interpersonal skills, decision-making, stress management, and risky situations including unwanted sexual advances.
This program helps adolescents navigate the challenges of the high school years and prepares them for the independence and responsibilities that they will encounter as young adults. The program uses developmentally appropriate learning strategies to help students learn how to communicate effectively, make informed decisions, reduce stress, build healthy relationships and set goals. Units cover time-management, problem-solving, teamwork and citizenship.
The Responsible Citizenship program is a modern take on traditional character education. It is designed to educate the next generation so that they become conscientious citizens fully prepared to assume their place in the economies of the 21st century. The program covers social and environmental consciousness, understanding of and appreciation for human rights, and builds financial literacy through case studies and exercises on saving, investing and lending concepts.
This program helps identify characteristics of a diverse culture and ways to respect and nurture diverse people. It explores cultural identity, the unique needs of professionals who have recruiting and hiring responsibilities, and provides recruitment strategies and tactics help create pipelines to diverse talent. Learners will be exposed to proven, concrete techniques to maximize their levels of contribution and sustain a competitive advantage in today’s challenging workplace.
